Meka Glas was founded by Wolfgang Mehr in April 1995. He took over the glass rods and press articles division for the fashion industry and the technical division of the Wiesentahlhütte.

The history of the Wiesentahlhütte goes back to its foundation near Gablonz in 1868. After several setbacks between 1945 and 1953, a new smelting plant was set up in Schwäbisch Gmünd and produced again for the jewellery industry. In 1975, the Wiesentahlhütte was transferred to Schott AG.

After the takeover, Meka Glas expanded its wholesale business for rod glass and press articles, mainly for the industry. In the course of time, the business areas were expanded to include technical glassware, glazes and stoneware. If you would like to know more about us, please do not hesitate to contact us.
